Dirty Consumer is the
works of Tedd Anderson,
this guy right here.
Tedd specializes in drawing, murals, and bookbinding.
A bit about Tedd:
Tedd is an artist, bookbinder, and print-maker currently based in Durham, NC. Originally from Gurnee, IL, Tedd received a BFA in Painting from UIUC before practicing book conservation in research libraries - notably Northwestern and Duke. His art practice is heavily steeped in the craft of bookbinding for this reason.
A bit about Tedd's drawing and painting:
Parsing through the cultural desert is an attempt at grasping a glass of water through a TV screen. Tedd's work intuitively pieces together the meaningless with the meaningful. With this voracious appetite of insatiable consumption, we tear through useless advertisements to discover a single instance of clarified inspiration. Like a midwestern casserole, Tedd's drawings are layered with mystery-meat patterns, gooey mark-making, savory color palettes, and high-carb text. The meaningless begins to marinate wonderfully with the meaningful. Squinting through a bloated lens, Tedd creates imagery that is oversaturated with improvised conclusions.
