Logan and Tedd each designed a poster for the show:
Some thoughts from Tedd on Light Bag/Slight Baggage:
This body of work was created in 2018 while Logan Britt and I traveled for six months with only a backpack apiece. The work is a reflection on the feeling of overexposure six months of continuous movement produces. Layers of pattern, color, and text achieve an ordered chaos that deconstructs the literal nature of the written word; a cacophony where one may pick and choose meaning among disparate thoughts. These drawings approximate meaning that cannot be expressed in a succinct sentence.
The show at The Carrack was an opportunity to showcase the varied ways subjectivity warps objective experiences. While Logan and I traveled together, we took in experiences together. Our response to these experiences were completely different - exemplified in the drawings we each created throughout our travels.
